Up Everyday bank statement PDF to Xero CSV
StatementCSV turns an Up Everyday Account digital text statement PDF into a Xero bank-statement CSV. The file is read in this browser. It is not uploaded. Up statements are a newest-first list grouped by weekday, not a Date / Debit / Credit table — that is the layout we parse. Unknown layouts fail loud.
How to get a digital text PDF
Export or download the statement PDF from the Up app or up.com.au. We only claim the Everyday Account PDF. Saver pockets are not transaction rows.
- Sign in to the Up app or up.com.au.
- Export or download the Everyday Account statement PDF for the month you are reconciling.
- Use the digital PDF. A screenshot or scan will be refused.
What is and isn't supported
Proven on a real Up Everyday Account PDF. There is no sample JSON button for Up; drop a digital PDF on Convert. If Up will export a CSV for the same period, prefer that file.
Supported
- Up Everyday Account digital text PDFs that match the layout proven on a real customer file
- The day-grouped list from up.com.au (weekday and ordinal day, then amount and running balance)
- Selectable text in the PDF
Not supported
- Up Saver pocket activity after the Savers heading (those are not Everyday rows)
- Bendigo Bank table statements (Up is a brand of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank; this is the Everyday PDF only)
- Credit-card layouts, scans, and photos of printouts
- Unknown Up or Bendigo layouts — refused, not guessed
Import the CSV in Xero
- Download the CSV from Convert after you have checked the rows.
- In Xero: Accounting → Bank accounts → Manage account → Import a statement.
- Map Date, Amount, Payee, Description and Reference if Xero asks. Dates are DD/MM/YYYY. Amount is one signed column (money in positive, money out negative).
- Confirm the statement lines, then reconcile as usual.
Accuracy
This layout has been proven on a real customer PDF. Other products from the same bank may still fail. We refuse unknown layouts and scans rather than invent a digit. This is not tax advice. Spot-check every import.
