CommBank NetBank Saver bank statement PDF to Xero CSV
StatementCSV turns a CommBank NetBank Saver digital text statement PDF into a Xero CSV. Proven on a real 2026 NetBank Saver statement, including DD Mon dates, year rollover, and Value Date lines. Parsing stays in this browser. The PDF is not uploaded. If the file is a scan, a photo of a printout, or a CommBank product we have not proven, convert fails loud.
What the statement looks like
A NetBank Saver statement is a digital CommBank PDF with a table headed Date, Transaction, Debit, Credit, Balance. The product name NetBank Saver appears on the statement. Dates in the table are often day and month only (15 Dec). The year comes from the statement period and rolls from December into January. Some merchant rows include a Value Date line under the description. Running balances often print with a CR suffix.
Invented example only — not from a customer file. Shows a DD Mon date, a Value Date continuation, and a January year rollover.
| Date | Description | Debit | Credit | Balance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 15 Dec | TRANSFER FROM EXAMPLE EVERYDAY | 150.00 CR | 1,150.00 CR | |
| 16 Dec | BPAY EXAMPLE COUNCIL RATES Value Date: 15/12/2026 | 88.40 | 1,061.60 CR | |
| 02 Jan | CREDIT INTEREST | 0.42 CR | 1,062.02 CR |
How to get a digital text PDF
Export or download the statement PDF from NetBank or the CommBank app for the NetBank Saver account. We do not publish click-by-click screens. Use a digital text file. If the PDF is a scan of a printout, convert will stop.
- Sign in to NetBank or the CommBank app.
- Open the NetBank Saver account and export or download the statement PDF for the period you need.
- Confirm you can select transaction text in a PDF reader before you convert.
What the converter handles
The converter reads DD Mon dates, carries the year from the statement period (including December-to-January rollover), and keeps Value Date lines on the merchant row. Opening and closing balance rows in the dated table are not transactions.
What is and isn't supported
Proven on a real 2026 NetBank Saver statement, including DD Mon dates, year rollover, and Value Date lines. If NetBank will export a CSV for the same period, prefer that file. Spot-check every import. This is not tax advice.
Supported
- CommBank NetBank Saver digital text PDFs that match the layout proven on a real 2026 customer file
- Selectable Date / Transaction / Debit / Credit / Balance text
- DD Mon dates, year rollover, and Value Date continuation lines, after you check the preview
Not supported
- Printed Fuji Xerox / image CommBank statements (no text layer)
- Scans and photos of printouts
- CommBank credit-card statements
- Other CommBank products (Complete Access, business, offset, and so on) — not claimed as proven on this page; unknown tables are refused. GoalSaver (2019 text) has its own guide.
Import the CSV in Xero
- Download the CSV from Convert after you have checked the rows.
- In Xero: Accounting → Bank accounts → Manage account → Import a statement.
- Map Date, Amount, Payee, Description and Reference if Xero asks. Dates are DD/MM/YYYY. Amount is one signed column (money in positive, money out negative).
- Confirm the statement lines, then reconcile as usual.
Known quirks
- Page-1 summary box. NetBank Saver often prints a Closing Balance near the top of page 1 that is a summary, not a dated table row. The converter does not treat that box as a transaction and does not stop reading the table there.
- Credit Interest Rate tables and similar rate summaries after the dated CLOSING BALANCE are not transactions.
Accuracy
This layout has been proven on a real customer PDF. Other products from the same bank may still fail. We refuse unknown layouts and scans rather than invent a digit. This is not tax advice. Spot-check every import.
