CommBank GoalSaver statement PDF to Xero CSV
StatementCSV turns a CommBank GoalSaver digital text statement PDF into a Xero CSV. Proven on a real 2019 GoalSaver text PDF (Date / Transaction / Debit / Credit / Balance with selectable text). Parsing stays in this browser. The PDF is not uploaded. Printed Fuji Xerox / image statements have no usable text layer and are refused. Other CommBank products are not claimed as proven.
How to get a digital text PDF
Export or download the statement PDF from NetBank or the CommBank app. Use a digital text file for a GoalSaver account. We do not publish click-by-click screens. If the PDF is a scan of a printout, convert will stop.
- Sign in to NetBank or the CommBank app.
- Export or download the GoalSaver statement PDF for the period you need.
- Confirm you can select transaction text in a PDF reader before you convert.
What is and isn't supported
If NetBank will export a CSV for the same period, prefer that file. Spot-check every import. This is not tax advice.
Supported
- CommBank GoalSaver digital text PDFs that match the proven 2019 text layout
- Selectable Date / Transaction / Debit / Credit / Balance text
- The transaction table on that statement, after you check the preview
Not supported
- Printed Fuji Xerox / image CommBank statements (no text layer)
- Scans and photos of printouts
- CommBank credit-card statements
- Other CommBank products (Complete Access, business, offset, and so on) — not claimed as proven; unknown tables are refused
Import the CSV in Xero
- Download the CSV from Convert after you have checked the rows.
- In Xero: Accounting → Bank accounts → Manage account → Import a statement.
- Map Date, Amount, Payee, Description and Reference if Xero asks. Dates are DD/MM/YYYY. Amount is one signed column (money in positive, money out negative).
- Confirm the statement lines, then reconcile as usual.
Accuracy
This layout has been proven on a real customer PDF. Other products from the same bank may still fail. We refuse unknown layouts and scans rather than invent a digit. This is not tax advice. Spot-check every import.
